The Ministry of Youth Affairs, has identified four growth areas for young people in Barbados to consider when choosing a career.
There are, the industries of culture, sports, modern agriculture and information and communication technology.
Consultant to the Ministry with responsibility for the Draf National Youth Policy, Dr Ivan Henry told Trackker News, that the young people were integral in taking Barbados forward.
He added that the policy would help guide the youth,having noted the goals and challenges facing them.
"The one thing that we must not do is assume that all young people are the same,because they are not", says Dr Henry.
He added thatthe policy targeted several groups of young people among them are young mothers,the boys on the block and mainstream youth.
