Members of Royal Barbados Police Force contine to make progress in tracking and stopping the flow of illegal weapons into Barbados with the discovery of two assault rifles were discovered hidden inside a 40-inch flat screen television.
A source, information later told Trakker News the weapons which are similar to the very powerful and deadly AK 47 assault rifle were intercepted yesterday morning at a depot of one of the international courier and shipping companies that ferry packages in and out of Barbados.
The assault rifles were inside the shell of the 40 inch television which was inside a box. Three ammunition magazines were also discovered in the package. The police are expected to issue a statement soon on their efforts in dealing with the gun issue.
