Guyana Government condemns attacks on USA embassies in Libya and Cairo

Georgetown : The Government of Guyana (GOG) strongly condemns the attack which has targeted the consulate of the United States of America in Benghazi, Libya, resulting in the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others as well as the attack on the US Embassy in Cairo.

GOG urges that the protest be peaceful and that there be restraint and tolerance on the part of those excercising the right to protest.

GOG conveys it sympathies  to the bereaved families of the deceased and to the Government and people of the USA for the loss of lives, injuries and damage of property caused by the tragic event.
