Georgetown : Prime Minister Samuel Hinds who up until the creation of the Ministry of Natural Resources was responsible for the mining sector, on Wednesday evening informed the National Assembly of Guyana that the resources believed to exist in Guyana are not as bountiful as some believe.
He was at the time responding to former Finance Minister Carl Greenidge who told the House that the past 50 years of economic development for Guyana does not reflect the level or resources available to the country.
The duo was at the time wrangling over a motion tabled by Greenidge on the management and use of State assets particularly those held in the National Industrial and Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL).
