Guyanese sets out to mash despite weather condition.

Georgetown – Early this morning , hundreds of persons from all walks of life went out and set up their stalls and camp sites for the big anticipated float parade for Mashramani, celebrating Guyana’s Republic Anniversary.

Up to late last night persons were still not sure what the weather would be like today since over the past four days there were persisting rains that caused several sections of the city to flood and villages along the East Coast of Demerara. This morning the sun is peeping out with slightly overcast condition, nevertheless the main street for the parade, Vlissengen road is busy with people making accommodation to spend the rest of the day.
