Georgetown: Under the theme “Advancing Productivity through Innovation, Modernisation and Expansion” Guyana’s largest trade fair, GuyExpo 2013, will open today at the Sophia Exhibition complex. Meanwhile, persons are urged to get their tickets early as purchases can be made various locations such as Nigel’s Supermarket, Survival Supermarket, KK Gas Station, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Housing and Water, Giftland Office Max, Mattai Supermarket, Ashmin’s Stores, Medicom Phramacy, Spready’s Berbice, Princess Hotel, in addition to the various booths at the venue. Ticket prices are $500 for adults and children above 12 are $300.
GuyExpo is undertaken as a partnership among the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, GO-INVEST and the private sector; while exhibitors, franchise holders, game operators and entertainers play a major role in the overall success of the event.
