The Ministry of Tourism is focusing on Barbados' cultural heritage in an attempt to bring more tourist to the island.
Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy made this comment at opening of the eight Annual International African Diaspora Heritage Trail conference last night.
"Overall, the sustained focus on our heritage has been embraced by our efforts in promoting Barbados' tourism, we do recognize the cultural heritage tourism is market is one of the most rapidly growing market". Sealy said.
"To this end, the Ministry of Tourism is developing heritage tourism as a legitmate market niche, designed to bring more tourists tour shores", he added.
