Attorney at Law Edmund Hinkson, is Barbados Labour Party's candidate in next general elections in the St James North consituency.
He defeated accountant Douglas Skeete at the nomination metting yesterday evening in front of a massive crowd of party supporters at the St .Alban's School
Hinkson polled 175 votes to Skeete's 136, there were screams and hugs when the annoucment of the winner was made around 8.20 pm.
Rawle Eastmond, the sitting member of Parliament who last week said he would rather be party's sacrifical lamb than be part of a "impure proocess that involved a padded party members list opted out of the controversial nomination process.
