Several non governmental organizations have received thousands of dollars from the HIV/AIDS Commission to fund campaigns focused on the prevention of AIDs at the community level.
Minister of Sports,Culture and Youth Affairs Stephen Lashley told Trakker News, the funding is part of the Commission's civil society grant system and will help the NGOs to reach members of the population who isat risk.
Cheques were presented to the Barbados Red Cross Society, the Barbados Council for the Disable, the Pinelands Creative Workshop and the AIDs Foundation of Barbados.
