The Caribbean Association of Home Economics 20th Bennial Conference began at the Roy Marshall Teaching Complex of the cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies this morning.
Chief Education Officer Laurie King in the opening address, identified Home Economic as an essential tool in the battle against declining standards and values among young people and to teach them social and moral responsibility.
The four day conference, which is in celebration of CAHE's 41st anniversary, will be held under the theme Home Economics Empowerment: Education for Sustainable Lifestyles.
