Bridgetown.
The lack of anger management is the fundamental cause of crime and violence in the Barbadian society.
This view was expressed by Commissioner of Police,Darwin Dottin, after a service to comemorate Police Week, at the St Lucy Parish Church yesterday.
Dottin said, that despite the a spate of recent stabbings on the island, he was more concern about proper conflict resolution than any stabbing trend.
"We had three stabbing incidents over the past few weeks, but this is due to people resorting to resolving their disputes with sharp edged weapons," Dottin said.
"From what I can see, people need to realize that there are different ways to resolve their disputes rather than resorting to violence," the Commissioner added.
