Dr Donna Hunte-Cox contract as chief excecutive officer of the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) has not been renewed.
Hunte-Cox was informed yesterday evening in a letter deliver by chairman of the NCF Monique Taitt, that her three year contract would not be renewed.
The deterioration of the relationship between Hunte-Cox and Taitt has been public knowledge for a number of months, causing speculation on whether she would have been reappointed to the post she took up on May 1, 2009.
Among the issues between Taitt and Hunte-Cox was an gag order with instructions that only the chairman or the Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley would speak to the press.
John Clarke, the finance officer of the NCF will act as CEO, the first Cavalcade to usher in Crop Over 2012 is less than two week away.
