Grove, East Bank Demerara – The devastating fire which left millions in losses and over 25 people homeless is being investigated as reports surfaced of a possible gas leak at a Chinese restaurant. Fire victims are blaming the owner of the restaurant for failing to alert them at the time of the fire and that he had problems with gas leaks in the past. According to information, several reports were made by neighbors about gas leaks but no one investigated. Many who suffered huge losses in the fire claim that this situation could have been avoided, but at some point people become negligent of things that spell danger for them. TrakkerNews understands that a number of organisations are moving to help the families with food, clothing and financial support.
