The newly established Financial Services Commission (FSC), has reminded Barbadians that only people and bodies registered by the commission are permitted to offer securities and investment advice in Barbados.
Manager of securities and co-operatives with the FSC, Betty Alleyne Headley, told Trakker News that commission had the responsibility to make sure that the public was aware of the regulations that governed investment.
According Alleyne-Headley, the pulic should note that that there are risks in doing business with unregistered person or entities.
