Incumbent Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says relations between Iran and Guyana will never be weakened or severed despite the long geographical distance between the two countries.
In a Saturday meeting with Guyanese Presidential Envoy George Hallaq, President Ahmadinejad noted that the two countries “are on the same front,” expressing hope that the officials of both countries would explore venues of cooperation.
Hallaq also delivered the written message of Guyanese President Donald Ramotar to Ahmadinejad and called for closer ties with Iran.
