Georgetown: Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo, is currently attending the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) high-level Caribbean Forum which is being held in Jamaica.
The IMF, partnering with the Jamaican government, is hosting the Forum under the theme ‘Unleashing Growth and Strengthening Resilience in the Caribbean’. The forum is expected to focus on unique issues that the Caribbean region is facing and the opportunities that can be found to cope with the changing global landscape.
Dr Jagdeo is one of the panelists dealing with the issue of ‘Fiscal Policy and Political Cycles’, which is one of several discussion sessions on the agenda. The Opposition Leader is expected to return to Guyana on Saturday.
