Georgetown : The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 2:00pm. today at Barrack Street, Kingston, during which accounts clerk Bernard Wilburg was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that Bernard Wilburg, who is employed with the Jialing Forestry Industry Ltd; had earlier withdrawn $2M from a city bank and was sitting in a company vehicle waiting on the driver who had gone into a business place. During this period the two perpetrators confronted Wilburg and held him at gunpoint and took away a bag containing the money after which they escaped on a motor cycle.
