Jamaican handed over to the Immigration Department

Bridgetown.

Akil Osel Hovell was placed in the custody of the Immigration Department after he appeared in the District "A" Magistrates Court yesterday.

The 19 year old  Jamaican pleaded gulity to possession of a T-shirt made out of camouflage material on Sunday.

"I didn't know. i bring it from Trinidad when I was coming in for vacation", he said.

Hovell told the court he had been in Barbados since last January and was employed as a painter, he was fined $250 forthwith or 25 days in prison and was released into the custody of Immigrations officials.
