Jamaican Wilfred Jones, also known as Bryan Adams, was remanded to HMP Dodds when he appeared in the District A Magistrate Court yesterday evening.
Jones was arrested after Customs Officers seized 31 pounds cannabis at the Bridgetown Port late last week.. Customs and Excise personnel searched a consignment of car parts and other items, and the illegal drug was discovered in 18 brown taped packages concealed in the bottom of three crates used to transport the items.
Jones was remanded until May 6 May when he will appear at the District B Magistrate Court. He is the twelfth Jamaican arrested on drug charges in Barbados this year.
