Jurors being selected for Bakr sedition trial

Port-of-Spain: Potential jurors are being selected at this time to begin the sedition trial of the leader of the Jamaat al Muslimeen Yasin Abu Bakr.
Bakr was arrested and charged in 2005  with incitement, terrorism and sedition as well as other offences arising out of a sermon he delivered during Eid celebrations at his mosque on Mucurapo Road in St James.
The trial was first postponed back in 2007 but is finally expected to get off the ground this morning when potential jurors will be selected. The 68-year-old Imam will stand before Justice Mark Mohammed.
