Minister of Education Ronald Jones, thinks the future of education in Barbados may rest in the hands of software developers.
Jones told Trakker News in this techological era , classrooms must be equipped to offer much more than was previously required.
According to Jones, local software developers could play a greater role by formulating lessons specifically designed for Barbadian students.
He expressed disappointment over the high price for internet access across the island. Jones said the cost must be reduced before all students can make the most of available online resoures.
