Georgetown- Investigators seem to be taking a very keen interest in trying to solve the Friday night execution of businessman Leonard Mahadeo, who from all accounts has been well connected. So far two men are in custody who police believe is part of a gang that carried out the attack on Leonard. Known associates of the businessman continue to be questioned as police work on information that suggested a few persons who may have reasons to kill the businessman. The two in custody are persons wanted for a series of robberies and other crimes. Trakkernews understand that after the gunning down of Leonard, some of his close associates are speaking out about persons who may have something to do with the execution. Mahadeo has been charged several times for drug trafficking, but has been never convicted. In June 1996, Mahadeo was charged with transporting and exporting 2.272 grams of cocaine. Based of police information the theory behind the killing is a drug deal gone sour.
