Georgetown : This afternoon, residents of Kingston especially those who are living in the bottom plat rushed to take their furniture and electrical appliances to higher ground after a Koker door at Cowan Street broke away. At this time the tide is high and water from the Demerara River has been rushing into the land which is below sea level.
Workers from the Ministry of public works were dispatched at the disaster .
