Georgetown- Serious questions are now being raised with the latest action allegedly by the Office of the President, to instruct CID officers to carry out a search at the home of sacked employee Marchelle Joseph. Joseph was fired after being accused of leaking information to the Kaietuer News. The police have been instructed to locate a flash drive which is said to contain sensitive information regarding the laptop purchase and other issues. According to Joseph's mother who resides on the West Bank, the men identified themselves as CID officers but did not produce any search warrant. They proceeded to search the premises but came up empty handed. The sacked employee is said to be in the States, following her dismissal. Information is that she fled after a senior Government official allegedly threatened her. During the past two weeks the "One laptop per family issue", made headlines on Kaieteur News with the publication citing discrepancies in the procurement process.
