Bridgetown.
Lawmen at the three Bridgetown Magistrate Courts are being rotated after two court files reportedly went missing.
New seating arrangements and rotation of police officers are among some of the new security measures that have been recently implemented.
Assistant Superintendent McDonald Woodruffe, who is in charge of the operations of the courts told Trakker News that the changes were routine and had nothing to do with the missing files.
"Periodically we make changes and transfer, we look at the courts to see where we can improve the sstem for accountability and security purposes", Woodruffe said.
According to a source, a file related to a drug case disappeared from the precincts of one of the Magistrates Courts.
Reports indicate that the disappearance of the file was linked to a senior police officer and a court official.
