Police officer Shane Bryan of Baxters, Road, St Andrew, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding and collided with a car on Government Hill, St Michael.
The motorcycle caught fire and the flames were extinguished by members of the Barbados Fire Service. Bryan received injuries to his right leg.
Michelle Lewis, the driver of the car along with her two young passengers aged aged four and eleven were unhurt.
Bryan was off-duty at the time of the accident.
