Bridgetown.

The council of the Bar Association has written its members suggesting they strike action at the Supreme Court Complex as a means of getting their concerns heard.

A letter signed by president of the association  Andrew Pilgrim with the suggestion was circulated to members of the Bar last Friday.

This development is in response to a previous letter the association wrote to Chief Justice Marston Gibson on July 30,expressing a number of concerns and difficulties being experienced by the Bar Association and its  members with the administration  of justice.

The Chief Justice responded the next day  indicating that he would provide a response to the letter in due course.

However, the association last week's letter that a significant time had elapsed without a meaningful response to the issues addressed.

Among the suggestions in the letter are: An urgent meeting of selected council members with the Chief Justice, strike action at the Supreme Court Complex or a series paid advertisment in the press outlining the issues with the system.
