The lawyers who will be elevated to the status of Queen's Counsel today are fully paid up members of the Barbados Bar Association.
According to a source one leading attorney who had not paid his bar fees for several years, made a payment two days ago and will be called to the inner bar today.
Fee payments to the Bar Association beecame a major issue two weeks ago when a letter with names of over 80 lawyers who had not paid their Bar fees at the end of the Febuary deadline was circulated.
The source told Trakeer News the number has been reduced to 50.
