Inspector Anderson Bowen one of Barbados' top crime fighter died last night at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being hospitalized a week ago with a heart related condition.
In 2005 Bowen,was suspended after making a public call for the then Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin to resign.
He later filed an affidavit in the High Court accusing Dottin of 12 instances of wiretapping and was reinstated in the Royal Barbados Police Fore in 2010.
Six week ago he was appointed to lead a task force which was mandated to rid Bridgetown of illegal vending and unlawfull parking. Bowen was 54 years of age.
