Several LIAT flights have been cancelled or delayed following industrial action taken by the Leeward Islands Airline Pilots Association
A number of LIAT planes remain on the ground, as members of the Leeward Islands Airline Pilots Association hold an emergency meeting in Antigua.
The pilots’ action resulted in a number of cancellations and disruptions across the region this morning.
Trakker News understands from a source in Antigua that one of the main issues of contention is the indefinite suspension of LIALPA’s Head, Captain Carl Burke.
The source said Burke’s suspension follows his representation of a LIALPA member at a recent meeting.
However, the specific details of what transpired have not been disclosed.
