Electricity has revolutionised the scope of everything that human beings do.
This is the view of managing director of The Barbados Light and Power(BL&P) Peter Williams.
Speaking at a service to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of BL&P at the Dalkeith Methodist Church in St Michael.
Williams said," One hundred years ago, no one could imagine the changes that electricity would have bring to the everyday lives of thousands".
"One hundred years later none of us can imagine life withpout electricity. It has transformed the nation, and it is the backbone of our economic well being", he added.
