The driver of lorry GLL 3551 has been detained by the police for the fatal accident which resulted in the death of pedestrian Suresh Bissondial, 51 years of Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
Investigations revealed that the driver of motor lorry GLL 3351 was proceeding along the roadway, when it is alleged that Suresh Bissondial attempted to cross the road and was struck down. He was picked up and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
