Lorry struck down pedestrians at Bartica, one dead two hospitalized

Georgetown : The police today are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at Third Avenue and Sixth Street, Bartica yesterda, and which resulted in the death of Police Constable Delon Forde, 21 years, stationed at the Tactical Services Unit and injuries to Tamaldeo Heeraman, 55 years, and Davina Seeram, 31 years, both of Third Avenue, Bartica.

According to the police, Delon Forde, Tamaldeo Heeraman and Davina Seeram were standing at the corners at Third Avenue and Sixth Street, where there was an accident involving two motor cars, when it is alleged that the driver of motor lorry GNN 5940 who was driving at a fast rate, failed to stop at a stop sign along the roadway and collided with a motor car. As a result he lost control of the vehicle and struck down the three pedestrians.

They were taken to the Bartica Hospital where Constable Delon Forde was pronounced dead, while Tamaldeo Heeraman and Davina Seeram were admitted patients.

The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

  2. So before you all write an article you should get all of your facts straight… I’ve read about 5 different articles and 5 different stories with 5 different names, ages, etc.
