Bridgetown.
Former Minister of Tourism Noel Lynch, has been nominated by the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) to contest the St Michael South constituency seat held by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
Lynch won the seat in the general elections 1999 by defeating former Prime Minister Sir Lloyd Sandiford, in 2008 general elections he was defeated by Stuart. Last night Lynch has few problems defeating attorney at law Albert Sealey 90-12 in a one sided nomination meeting at the Bay Primary School.
He told party supporters the most important thing leading up to the next general elections would be the stewardship of Stuart.
"Now is the time for change I will not speak ill of my opponent but the Democratic Labour Party cannot be allowed to last for another five years. Stuart should be the first to go, he is not visible and offers no assistance to the people of St MichaelSouth", Lynch said.
