NWD : The police are investigating the death of Chris Allicock of Aruka River Mouth North West District, which occurred on Sunday last.
The 30 year old Allicock and Rawle Khan, 39 years, of Mabaruma Settlement were involved in an altercation when Khan picked up a brick and pelted Allicock in his lower back. Khan was taken to the Mabaruma Hospital after experiencing pains in his back. He later died. Rawle Khan has been arrested and is assisting the police in their investigation.
A post mortem examination was performed on yesterday by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on the body of Chris Allicock. The cause of death has been determined as a ruptured spleen caused by a hard object.
