Mahaica family left traumatised after being assaulted by bandits.

 

 Mahaica : Mini-bus driver Daniel Subramani, his wife Taranella Subramani and their two children were in hammocks at their home at Helena No. 2, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, when two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered and held them at gunpoint.

During the incident the perpetrators assaulted Daniel Subramani about his head and body with the firearm and also assaulted Taranella Subramani.  They then ransacked the house and escaped.  It is not yet known what has been stolen.

Daniel Subramani has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital, while Taranella Subramani was treated and sent away.TrakkerNews understands that the family has since left in a state of shock.
