Georgetown :Diligent investigations, at about 2:15am today members of the Joint Services conducted a search on a house at Festival City, Georgetown, where Loretta Persaud called ‘Stephanie’, 18 years of Unity, ECD, was found and two females and a man who were in the house at the time were arrested.
However during the continuing investigations today Loretta Persaud admitted to the police that she had staged the kidnapping.
The two females and the man have since been released and Loretta Persaud is presently in police custody.
It had been reported to the police that Loretta Persaud had left her home at about 9:00 am. on Wednesday June 22, 2011, to attend computer classes and had not returned. Subsequently a relative had received a text message demanding a ransom of $300,000.00 for her safe return.
