The 39 year old businessman was not required to plea to the indictable charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan Friday.
Monohar is currently the main suspect in an ongoing investigation of a pirate attack that left five dead and a dozen men missing in Surinamese water on April 27, 2018.
He was represented by Attorney, Joel Edmond.
The Police prosecution objected to the accused being released on bail on the grounds that he is the main suspect in the recent piracy attack.

The court also heard that during the month of August 2016 while being armed with guns and knives in the Corentyne River, he stole the vessel “Captain Finish valued $2.3M, the property of Vikash Balkisson.
