Several improvements are being made at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) under the Airport Master Plan.
Chief Executive Officer of the GAIA David Barrow told Trakker News, some aspects of the plan have already been implemented among them are the extension to the taxiway making it a full length parallel runway.
"We have already started planning for the new cargo facility and regional lounge where the LAIT passengers embark and disembark will be expanded", Barrow said.
He explained there are several short term priorities in the plan along with a long term vision involving major captital works programmes.
