Carl Maloney, 34,appeared in Criminal Court1 of the Bridgetown Magistrates' Court yesterday accused of raping a 80 year old woman.
Maloney was not required to plead indictable charge that between September 3 and 4 this year, he had sexual intercourse with the woman without her consent.
He was denied bail after it was discovered that he lived near to the complainant, who was discribed by the prosecution as weak and vulnerable.
The eldery woman suffered a stroke six years ago which has restricted her movements.
Maloney was released from prison last year after serving a three year sentence for raping an eldery woman.
