Georgetown: Mahindra Bishundial called ‘Tyrone’ of 265 Third Street Grove was Tuesday afternoon charged for the murder of fifty-seven year-old Aga Khan, the Edun Farm employee who was shot and killed during a robbery one month.
The man made an appearance at the Providence Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Leslie Sobers.
The charges read; on Tuesday November 6th at Buzz Bee Dam, Craig East Bank Demerara in the Georgetown Magisterial district County of Demerara in the state of Guyana, Mahindra Bishundial called ‘Tyrone’ murdered Aga khan during the course of robbery.
The charged was indictable and the accused was not required to plea. Bishundial was represented by attorney-at-law Mark Waldron.
His lawyer said his client was beaten severely by the police.
On November 6th last Aga Khan, of Lot 20 Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara was shot at close range in the right side of his neck after he reportedly handed over a bag containing $750,000 to one of four robbers. The father of three was pronounced dead at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre.
