Georgetown : A father who late yesterday confessed to striking his son in the head that later resulted in the son’s death, is cooperating fully with investigators.
The police says. Azeez Khan, 18 years, a labourer of Lot 8 Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD) and his 40 year old father who resides at the said address, had an altercation during which he was allegedly struck to the head with a piece of wood.
The victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he died today. Police was informed that the deceased fell off a ladder, at his place of work, which was later proven otherwise.
A post-mortern examination was done and the cause of death was given as hemorrhage due to blunt trauma to the head.
