Berbice: Kingsley Thompson known as Bung-ee was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after attempting suicide,but was pronounced dead on arrival last evening.
Police sometime Monday morning found him with his throat slit and several stab wounds about the body, in the backdam.
Thompson’s wife, 32 year old Rhonda Thompson was found with her throat slit sometime around 6:45PM Sunday at their Hopetown, West Coast Berbice home.
Police sources in Berbice say investigations revealed that the two were separated for about three and a half months after the woman left to visit a relative in Barbados and over-stayed her time.
According to a neighbour Thompson’s husband came to her place and the two had an argument after he accused her of seeing someone else.
The argument the neighbour said lasted for about 20 minutes after which the two went inside.
About half hour later she was found with the wound to her throat and died on her way to the hospital.
One of the rooms of the house was also ransacked and it is believed the man murdered his wife after she refused to have sex with him.
