San Fernando: An unidentified man remains in serious condition at the San Fernando General Hospital, after being knocked down by an oncoming vehicle on sunday night.
Police reports indicate that around 9:30 the man of East Indian descent was seen walking in the middle of the roadway along Cipero Street and Lenzy Curtain Highway in the vicinity of Skinner's Park.
It is then that an oncoming vehicle struck him, throwing him into the air before he landed on the ground.
Onlookers, who were attending a function at the Rotary Club's offices nearby as well as the driver of the vehicle all rushed to the man's assistance and attempted to comfort him before the ambulance arrived.
It is beleived that his condition worsened while on the way to hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the accident are continuing.
