Man murdered in Arima; police kill San Juan man

Arima: A 30-year-old man of Maturita Extension, Arima, was shot dead this morning. Jason Pinto, who was also called "Satan", was gunned down after he left a bar lime to go home, just after midnight.

Police say patrons at the bar heard several gunshots and ran outside, where they found Pinto lying motionless in a pool of blood on the side of the roadway. Police say pinto was well known to them and say his murder was an execution.

And police shot and killed a 21-year-old suspected bandit last night. The man has been identified as Roger Stout of Laventille Road, San Juan.

Just after 8 o'clock on Sunday night, police responded to a robbery in Macoya, where three bandits stole a car, cash and a cellular phone from a man. Officers later spotted the stolen vehicle along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.

Police claim that when they intercepted the car at the O’meara intersection, two suspects jumped out and shot at the officers.

Stout, who was one of the assailants, was shot and was taken to Arima Health Facility, where he died while being treated. The two other bandits escaped.
