Renaldo Anderson Alleyne, 21, of Prescod Bottom,Hindsbury Road,pleaded guilty yesterday to unlawfully killing Tiffiany Harding, Kellishaw Olivierre, Kelly Ann Welch, Nikkita Belgrave and Pearl Cornelius on September 3, 2010.
Alleyne was originally charges with the murder of the five girls but pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Director of Public Prosecutions Charles Leacock, QC, told the court that Alleyne lit the home-made wick of a beer bottle, and tossed it at the door of the store as he grabbed as much money from the cash register before lighting and tossing another Molotov cocktail at a second door.
Alleyne will not only be the subject of a pre-sentencing report but a pyschological report.
He remains on remand at HMP Dodds until their completion.
