Georgetown: Malcolm Sonaram of Garnett Street, Albouystown was charged with trafficking in narcotics. He appeared before acting chief Magistrate Priya Beharry-Sewnarine where he was remanded to prison until October 09, 2012.
Malcolm Sonaram had attempted to export the narcotics concealed in a quantity of pumpkins at the GNIC wharf earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Hilda Beaton of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, was charged with murder allegedly committed on Sam Lall on October 02, 2012.
The 26 year old woman appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court yesterday where she was remanded to prison until November 09, 2012.
