Berbice : Three men armed with a gun and a cutlass about 2:00am today at Bloomfield, Corentyne Berbice, robbed Narvindra Seepaul age 24 years, a businessman of $50,000.00 and a cellular phone, Jainarine Singh a cane harvester of $40,000.00 and a cellular phone.
During the process Jafar Mohamed who is visiting from the United States of America was shot and chopped The victims were about to enter their Lot 4 ‘B’ Bloomfield home when the suspects pounced upon them.
Jafar Mohamed was shot in his left thigh and chopped on his right hand. He was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital for medical attention and was later transferred to the Georgetown Public.
His condition is regarded as serious.
