West Coast Demerara : Last night, Mohamed Khan, 54 years, of Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara (WCD), was on the roadway at Independence Street, La Grange, WBD, when he was confronted by a man armed with a handgun and who demanded his valuables.
Mohamed Khan put up a resistance and was shot to his left side. He was treated at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
The perpetrator escaped on a motor cycle.
Investigations are in progress.
