Jamar Andre Maynard, 27, of Denton Road,Grazettes, St Michael was shot by police officers last night in Cheapside,Bridgetown.
Police Public Relations Officer Inspector David Welch, told Trakker News , two detective Constables were on foot patrol in Bridgetown when they encounter two men. It is alleged that one of the men (Maynard) drew a firearm and was shot by one of the Constables who feared for his safety.
He received a gunshot wound to his left arm and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he died this morning.
